At Baby Princess' three day check she had already gained 7 ounces and at her two week check she was up two whole pounds from her birth weight. She is continuing to grow so fast that I'm sure she's trying to catch up with all the big kids. And at this rate she just might!
When Baby Princess was just one week old we found out that a test on her newborn screening came back abnormal. We were told she needed further blood and urine testing to determine if she has something called CTD (Carnitine Transporter Deficiency). We are still waiting to hear from Stanford on these new tests. If she has it, we are told it is treatable and curable. In the meantime we need to keep a close eye on her. It is a metabolic disorder that can be fatal without treatment. We feel covered in prayer as we wait for the results.
While we've been waiting we have kept ourselves busy with homeschooling, getting ready for the county fair, our garden harvest and enjoying our precious Baby Princess. Our fall schedule has been full!
